Day 1: San Jose

Today, we will meet the local guide holding a sign with our name at San Jose International airport and then we will be taken to hotel in San Jose downtown.

Day 2: San Jose - Manuel Antonio (177 km)

Today, at 8:00am, we will head to Manuel Antonio Beach to spend the day in the sun. This is also where we will spend the night.

Listed by Forbes in 2011 as one of the 12 most beautiful national parks in the world, Manuel Antonio is home to fantastic beaches on Costa Rica's Pacific coastline.

Day 3: Manuel Antonio

We will be able to enjoy the day at our own pace as we explore Manuel Antonio Beach and National Park, where we will be able to see a great deal of wildlife in the jungle.

Day 4: Manuel Antonio - Monteverde (123 km)

Today, around 9:00am, we will make our way to Monteverde. Along the voyage, we will pass through the rainforest of Costa Rica.

Day 5: Monteverde

Today we will explore the awesome and the best beach in the pacific of Nicaragua on own, where you will enjoy it swimming or surfing.

A small community in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, located in the Cordillera de Tilarán mountain range. Roughly a four-hour drive from the Central Valley, Monteverde is one of the country's major ecotourism destinations.

Day 6: Monterverde - Arenal La Fortuna (180 km)

Today, we will head to La Fortuna, a trip that will take about 3 hours. This is where we will spend the night.

Day 7: La Fortuna - Arenal Volcano

At 3:00pm, we will make our way to the base of the Arenal Volcano where we will go on a walking tour for about 2 hours, which will culminate in a grand panoramic view by the warm, natural rivers.

La Fortuna is the name of a district and a small city located in San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. "La Fortuna" is Spanish for "The Fortune", and aptly named due its ample supply of tourist attractions and extremely fertile lands.

  • This active stratovolcano in Costa Rica has an elevation of 5,358 feet. It looms over the small town of Las Fortuna below. There are many trails that traverse the slopes, leading all the way to the summit.

Day 8: La Fortuna

Today, we will be able to explore La Fortuna at our own leisure.

Day 9: La Fortuna - San Jose (160 km)

Around 9:00am, we will make the drive from La Fortuna to San Jose, about a 3 hour ride. When we arrive, we will have the remainder of the day free at our own leisure.

San Jose is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica. San Jose ranked 15th in the world's fastest-growing destination cities by visitor cross-border spending.

Day 10: San Jose - Puerto Viejo (217 km)

Today, at 9:00am, we will begin our drive to Puerto Viejo, which will take roughly 4 hours. When we arrive, we will have the remainder of the day free to spend at our ow pace.

This small coastal town is a popular stop for tourists in Costa Rica. It is well known and highly regarded by surfers who visit because it is where the Salsa Brava, Costa Rica's most powerful wave, crashes on the beach.

Day 11: Puerto Viejo - Bocas del Toro

Today, we will make our way from Puerto Viejo to Bocas del Toro. Along the way, we will need to make a stop at Customs. When we reach Almirante, we will embark on a boat the rest of the way to Bocas del Toro.

Today, we will explore Bocas del Toro on our own.

Today at 9:00am, we will take a boat to Almirante and board a van to Boquete. After this 4 hour ride, we will have the rest of the day free.
